Avery O. Williams, Morehouse ’86, is an award-winning screenwriter, director, and playwright with an MFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He co-directed the feature films Misguided Behavior with Carl Payne and Skinned with LisaRaye McCoy, and wrote and directed Plenty—all of which are streaming on Amazon Prime. Recently, Avery wrote the screenplays for two Lifetime Original Movies: Abducted at an HBCU: A Black Girl Missing Movie and Girl in the Garage (set for release in January 2025). He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Cinema, Television, and Emerging Media Studies (CTEMS) department at Morehouse College.
